Hello you beautiful soul and welcome to my blog!

My name is Fareeha Khan (aka fefe) and I’m a Pashtun who left home because of honour-based violence (HBV) in August of 2013. I was born in Wales, UK. My early education was in an American school in the Middle East. Later, I studied my bachelors in Textile Design from Iqra University Islamabad, Pakistan.

I am currently in Florida, United States starting my life from square one. This blog is about my journey, continuing struggle, love for vintage, my own textile work and much more.

I’m an empath that loves creative people, free spirits and intellectual minded kind-hearted individuals. Ever since I was younger I’ve aspired to become an entrepreneur, having a thriving business due to my fascination with interiors and textiles. Another life goal is to help orphans in any way possible, giving them hope for their future. Also helping other girls/women who have been in a similar situation as myself.

Metanoia 26 is a little glimpse into my world. It’s my utopia, where I can finally let all my thoughts out in a productive way and share what has been on my mind for so many years. The very word describes my past year and a half precisely. To me, metanoia represents the story of metamorphosis into your true self. A transformation through circumstances physically, mentally and spiritually.

Metanoia:

(n) The journey of changing ones mind, heart, self, or way of life.

I believe that going against the grain is how you truly find, create and shape yourself. Having a “robotic” lifestyle with the burden of living in the shadows can really break your spirit once you open your eyes. We all need change from what people expect us to be. We all need to make a turn to truly rediscover ourselves. Getting out of your comfort zone can change you as a whole. This process can be risky and draining but that is exactly how you can grow as a person.

As you can see, it was inevitable to welcome the word metanoia into my life and only natural to name my blog inspired by a word that is so powerfully significant and expressive. And the 26, you ask? Well, it’s the age at which “metanoia” struck. Simple as that, metanoia at 26!

I hope you find some inspiration in my posts and share your thoughts. I would love to hear your perspective so don’t shy away from asking questions and/or commenting.

Don’t feel like you always need to follow the crowd. Good luck with your metanoia and remember to always be YOURSELF!
